Scene of the Crime

2003 | This work was playful public intervention in a large public park in Pittsburgh, PA, where an official sign at the park entrance threatened imprisonment for failure to pick up after one’s dog. Although conceived as a playful response to a rather draconian consequence of public negligence, Scene of the Crime struck a nerve among park users and served to highlight various small-scale social and political issues surrounding use of public space.
